FEATURE
Here is the precious environment; the 2000m single mountain along the coast. It is only 16 km in a straight line distance from the mountaintop to the coastline. A national natural treasure Kujuku-shima in Kitsakata, Nikaho was formed by a sector collapse of Mt. Chokai, which shows us how the sea and mountain connect. Mt. Chokai erupted several times and got bigger and bigger, which makes the mountain easier to store water underground provided by rain or snow. This water cycle brings blessings to our life.
