Born in Akita. Graduated from Nagoya University of Commerce and Business in three years and went to grad school for acquiring more professional knowledge. The experience of the Tohoku earthquake and tsunami made me think about the importance of local community issues and joined Fisherman Japan which works on issues related to the fishery industry. Also Volunteering in Hokkaido as workcation.

For me who is from Akita, Nikaho is like a place to stop by just like the road station. But this time, I thought that Nikaho suits workcation. Working at the incubation facility which was the renovated old elementary school, you can see the ocean right there. It is a great environment to stay in with beautiful nature. What I found the most impressive when talking with them is that the local people are eager to challenge. Though I had an image of people in Akita being shy and negative about a challenge, it was updated positively. I sometimes go workcation to some places which I have a connection with. One day a local farmer told me that they needed some help during the harvest, which made me think that remote work would work. This workcation program is what exactly I imagined. My coworkers are eager to join too. I am now planning my next visit and looking for another great experience.
